Citizen of the World

April 22nd 2019, between Moscow and Tokyo.

Okay, it’s blogging time. After a recovery period (quitting my job, leaving my apartment, etc.) and a solo trip-test to Cambodia, I finally took that one way ticket: Paris-Tokyo, Monday April 22nd, 380 EUR, let’s get started.

This is not a diary, neither a travel newsletter. It’s a connection between you and me. A virtual connection but I truly believe it can get deeper than a physical one…

After finding myself deep down in a hole, I decided that I wanted to rebuild myself out of the World I was conditioned to be living in. I want to build a better version of myself, out of my current comfort zone and through experience that I truly want to live.

Nara (Japan) – May 2019

By solo travelling, I hope to connect with people I was never supposed to meet if I stayed in…

When Lydia Smiles

If you’d asked me in high school what I wanted to do after I finished, my list of possible career paths would’ve included fashion design, forensic sciences or media… the very last resort being running off into the sunset with a really wealthy Italian man for a career as a housewife. My love for storytelling has never died down, even when my dreams of what I wanted to become changed.

Sometimes I Write

Okay so a couple of months ago an article I wrote was published by The Uni Bubble. Back then I was in the middle of a (long term) blogging hiatus, but now that I’m back I’ve decided to repost it on my own blog. I’ll leave the link to the original article at the bottom. Enjoy!

This is the age of social media. We exist in a world of snapchatting pictures of your clean eating, live streaming gigs, Instagram businesses, and retweeting everything your favourite celebrities or online influencers tweet. Social media is supposed to be a positive haven where you can connect with people who share the same interests, expand your knowledge, and stay up to date with everything that’s going on in the world; so why is it still so frowned upon? Why do people roll their eyes at excessive posting and view their social media addicted peers…

You may have already noticed how this blog is changing. While it may have seemed abrupt, it’s actually something I’ve been thinking about for a while. I wasn’t excited to write and now I am. I found what matters to me, not that what I used to write about didn’t matter to me, I’ve just refocused on something else. The break I took and lack of motivation made me realize how important writing about what matters to you is.

The “about me”.

About me, family, life blog, lifestyle, new blog

Dreaming of calm

Yes, I know its generic and played out but everyone has to do the typical “about me” post and I’m no different.

This is my first time ever doing anything like this and I’m very excited to share the craziness that is my every day life with all of you.

So, I figured we would start off by me telling you guys a little about me and what I would like to do with this blog. I’m a married mother of four (pictured above) trying to survive the day to day shenanigans of my rambunctious children on a day to day basis. So a lot of this blog will be about the daily things we go through. However it will also be fun recipes, some diy tutorials (as they come up), and my journey to attempt to better myself.

This is actually one of the things I am hoping will…

Image : Where I sit

Often people take pictures in a beautiful cafe, laptop on the table, side coffee with their name underlined on the cupperfect shot (smiles).

However in reality this is where my blogging gets done. I’m either sitting on this bench or walking around the park, writing my thoughts in my notes on my phone. My motivation to blog comes from being in nature. When i go on my morning walks I become this “Creative Being” and so many ideas come to my mind. So i thought to myself if I become creative in nature, why not start blogging in nature and that’s what I did. I started blogging in the one place where I find peace and comfort to be alone with my thoughts.

Thanks for reading now you know where all the hard work comes from and where all my creative ideas…
