Life From A.N.Z

I am usually compelled to write. Something will happen in my daily life, a news article or a debate will spark my attention, I will try out a new recipe, or find some awesome life hack and I will want to share it. Today though I am compelled to write about religion. After reading so many different viewpoints and hearing so many hateful things for and against religion for many months my heart and head are screaming for me to add to the discussion. So here it goes.

I am Christian. I believe in God and his son Jesus Christ. I struggle to always believe in Jesus, but my faith in the Lord is unwavering. I have attended and been a part of many different sects of Christianity. I have been involved in the Catholic Church, I regularly attended a Lutheran Church, I frequented a very southern church growing up…

Just Another Teenager

I made a big decision last week. Well, it wasn’t a huge life-changing decision, rather, I didn’t think it would be. I’ll just cut to the point, shall I?

I cut off my hair!

Technically, the hairdresser cut off my hair, but you get the point. I told my parents last week that I wanted to have a hair cut and then I talked to my mum about it for a while because my hair is thick, curly and… unpredictable. After some research into how I would tame my hair, I decided that I definitely wanted to go ahead with the cut. My passion has always been to write, it doesn’t even matter what about. I just love getting lost in my thoughts, writing, singing and listening to music.. Words are powerful, so when I hear someone say “word is bond” I feel it like no other. I remember in school, I’d often be asked to write essays about the most ridiculous topics, and I could seriously do it with ease. An example.. would be writing about how you make your PB&J sammy.. I have this very convincing side to me. It’s crazy. I have like 10 draft rhymes/songs on my phone. Just because I can, just because it crossed my mind.

The BigComfyBlog was made for my own enjoyment of writing…

“Go to the edge of the cliff and jump off. Build your own wings on the way down.” -Ray Bradbury

Starting a blog has been on my bucket list since high school. I have always enjoyed writing – short stories and poems back in the day, then more of a lifestyle-type writing more recently. It’s been a while since I’ve written anything other than love notes to my sweet husband. For the past year or two, said sweet husband has encouraged and supported me in my idea of potentially starting a blog. But what to write about?! Blogs of every topic already exist and are hard to beat, right? It dawned on me this morning that my blog doesn’t have to be a chart topper. Why not just write and let come what may. So here we are – the blog of my dreams! A free platform for me to…
