My inner old lady…

JustJenny

Tonight I was stood in the chippy, minding my own business (for once), when I could feel to the left of me, someone staring at me.

Actually, staring was an understatement.

So I turned and looked and there with absolutely zero fucks and even less shame, was a chap old enough to be my Grandad, eyeing me up.

Was I dolled up like I was yesterday, in a frock as my Dad would comment & a bit of lippy.. no, I was looking like I’d just crawled out of bed a la scrubber styleeee.

“Want to come and have a butty with me?” Grandad quipped, “I’ll tell the wife to set another at the table love!”

Either I look like I need fattening up (which my hips, if they could speak would say, absolutely not fatty) or I’d just been hit on. I laughed, the chippy guys laughed and I…

You may have already noticed how this blog is changing. While it may have seemed abrupt, it’s actually something I’ve been thinking about for a while. I wasn’t excited to write and now I am. I found what matters to me, not that what I used to write about didn’t matter to me, I’ve just refocused on something else. The break I took and lack of motivation made me realize how important writing about what matters to you is.

The “about me”.

About me, family, life blog, lifestyle, new blog

Dreaming of calm

Yes, I know its generic and played out but everyone has to do the typical “about me” post and I’m no different.

This is my first time ever doing anything like this and I’m very excited to share the craziness that is my every day life with all of you.

So, I figured we would start off by me telling you guys a little about me and what I would like to do with this blog. I’m a married mother of four (pictured above) trying to survive the day to day shenanigans of my rambunctious children on a day to day basis. So a lot of this blog will be about the daily things we go through. However it will also be fun recipes, some diy tutorials (as they come up), and my journey to attempt to better myself.

This is actually one of the things I am hoping will…

The Journey Begins

The Reptile Queen

I’ve always had so many things to say and share, whether just random ideas to passions that I could speak about forever, but I’m a bit shy and it often keeps me from sharing a lot of myself, but the thought of sharing my thoughts publicly through writing had never crossed my mind, but was suggested to me, and through further explanation on the “how” and the “what” and the “why”, I started to feel an excitement build within me. Many topics raced through my head, from silly, fun things to subjects that I considered important, or at least special, and would love to share with others, and later even get their opinions or thoughts on the topic at hand.

The Bashful Brunette

Happy Valentines Day girl!

If there is one thing that female bloggers/vloggers/any other ‘ggers on the internet love on Valentines Day more than the cheesy excuse for fancy gifts, it’s telling single people that you don’t need a man to treat you, just treat yourself. However, we’ve tried the whole ‘buy yourself overpriced chocolate bars because society tells you to’ year after year after year. Don’t you think it’s time to try something new?

Today, I’m going to share a few of the things I like to do to treat my soul. Bleh, I know that sounded cheesy – but when you’re in the midst of your busy lifestyle it is easy to let yourself fall out of sync with the little things that make you happy.

So, this Valentines Day, don’t fool yourself into thinking that an extra chocolate bar is all you need. Here’s a few of…
